Letakein GirlParticipant
Someone,
I think you meant to address your statement above to OURTorah, right?
In any case, I just want to say that you and Ray seem to be such amazing people. I’m not saying that out of pity- nowhere near that! You both have a level of self awareness that is very unusual… (In a good way.)
You’re amazing- never forget that.
Letakein GirlParticipantSorry, I couldn’t resist.
Letakein GirlParticipantVery funny
Letakein GirlParticipantI used to be arrogant.
Now, I’m perfect. 🙂
Letakein GirlParticipantI assume you know why I can’t post that – 29
Letakein GirlParticipantRay,
Sending hugs and tefillos your way… You sound like you’re hurting so much, and I’m so, so sorry. I really hope things get better. Just know that you’re not alone- all of us here on the cr are here for you…
Stay strong!
Letakein GirlParticipantI second that, 100!
Letakein GirlParticipantOften when I’m bored, I go through the various sections of the cr archives.
So yes, the categorizing of threads is quite important.
Letakein GirlParticipantSm29,
+100000000000000
Letakein GirlParticipantMaybe just give him the cash? (Much easier.)
Letakein GirlParticipantAmen!
Thank you, have a good Shabbos.
Letakein GirlParticipantHappy birthday, coffee addict! !?? ??? ??????
Can I have a Bracha?
Letakein GirlParticipantI admire your self control, in that case. Kein yirbu!
Letakein GirlParticipantRead this thread and you’ll find out!
Letakein GirlParticipantTzviki,
The discussion is on whether or not frum Jews should vote in Eretz Yisrael.
Letakein GirlParticipantOkay then, I stand corrected.
By the way, writersoul, when I saw that you had written a long paragraph in response to little me, I felt so awesome. 🙂
Letakein GirlParticipantI know this because two of my friends are in that school…
What makes them modern? The things they wear, talk about, and do.
Why are you so into this?
Letakein GirlParticipantMischief M,
Um. The fact that the hanhala and students are MO?
🙂
Letakein GirlParticipantI don’t have access to any websites other than YWN and several others, eek.
Letakein GirlParticipantThank you!
Letakein GirlParticipantOh…
Well for future reference, schools of a specific chassidus are generally known by the name of the chassidus. So Bais Ruchel is known as the girls’ Satmar school.
🙂
Letakein GirlParticipantHi bp yidd! Lovely seeing you again.
Letakein GirlParticipantOy, it’s painful to watch Voos epes/bp yidd/ I don’t even remember what else ruin yet another thread.
Letakein GirlParticipantBais Rochel is very frum- more chassidish than yeshivish these days.
I believe they teach in Yiddish, in fact.
Letakein GirlParticipantBais Yaakov of Monsey is so great! One of my closest friends is camp is in that school, and she loves it. The staff is vey warm and caring, and the mechanecheses are always available for anything, 24/7. The principal (Rebbetzin Paretzky, I believe) is a legend- no other way to describe her.
There is every type in BYM… I would recommend it to anyone!
Btw STYLE, the OP created this thread 2 years ago, dunno if you realized.
Letakein GirlParticipantAteres is really modern…
Letakein GirlParticipantThank you!
Letakein GirlParticipantWhen do we start sayin it, btw? December 4 or 5?
Letakein GirlParticipantThis may be off topic, but I found it funny so I want to share it here.
I know Yiddish pretty well- many of my relatives are chassidish so I was raised hearing it all the time…
I was in a store the other day, and this chassidish lady and her friends were dissecting me and my sister in Yiddish. Apparently, they thought we wouldn’t know Yiddish cuz we don’t look like the type… So I found out that my hair is too ostentatious, my great aunt is a very special lady, I had a thread hanging from my skirt (yikes), and the chocolate I was buying is very expensive- they didn’t know my father was wealthy!
Ok, not sure what my point was in posting this. I just found it really funny. 🙂
Letakein GirlParticipantXoxo
Letakein GirlParticipantWow, SiDi! 32 days… You’re amazing.
??? ???? ???? ???! (Probably spelled wrong, but whatever.)
You can do this…
Letakein GirlParticipantPosting for X amount of years.
(Awesome thread.)

Letakein GirlParticipantGreat comeback, 29!
😉
Letakein GirlParticipantlol! Slinking addiction…
Letakein GirlParticipantI agree with MDG, but I would add “naive” to VE’s character profile. Maybe also “brainwashed?”
Letakein GirlParticipantI’d say that an internet addiction is much worse than a slinking addiction, because the Internet has the potential to destroy your neshama, while smoking only affects your physical body.
Your neshama represents your eternity- if one gets addicted to the wrong stuff, their eternity is affected in a huge way. IMHO, that is a lot worse than having your Olam Hazeh possibly shortened!
It is true, however, that if one smokes, their life might be shortened in which case they will have less time to accumulate Schar…
Whatever, they’re both awful.

(As always.)

You constantly amaze me with your sincerity, strength, maturity, and intelligence.
Letakein GirlParticipantI like Barlev’s joke.
😀
Letakein GirlParticipantVE,
Do you at least have a filter?
Letakein GirlParticipantLookingfprsem,
Everything he could use a mashpia! Even if you’re doing “all the right stuff” there’s always something that you can discuss with that person.. Right now, for example, this person would help you out with sem!
November 26, 2014 7:46 pm at 7:46 pm in reply to: Why you should be happy that you aren't in high school #1044378Letakein GirlParticipantLookingfprsem,
My philosophy on friends is as follows:
People are friends with others for two reasons-
A) they have something in common. (They’re the same type or something like that)
B) they respect the other person and naturally want to get closer to them.
So if you’re “friends with some one only to be mekarev them, I wouldn’t call that a friendship.
There are many chazals that say to stay away from friends that are bad for you. I don’t think that teens should be friends with others to be mekarev them…
In order to be in kiruv, you hafta be certain that you won’t be influenced by those you are spending so much time with…
Letakein GirlParticipantLFS:
Brief Grammar lesson-
“They’re” is used as a shorter version of “they are.”
“Their” is used when talking about something they own are something like that.
For example:
They’re obviously bored! They’re tapping their feet, curling their peyos, and their eyes are roaming through the room.
(Lol that last part about their eyes roaming brought to mind an image of a pair of eyeballs strolling throughout the room.)

Wow, you’re amazing!! Thank you for posting that…
November 25, 2014 9:33 pm at 9:33 pm in reply to: Question for people like Little Froggie and OURTorah #1044131Letakein GirlParticipantThank you…
November 25, 2014 4:41 am at 4:41 am in reply to: Why you should be happy that you aren't in high school #1044363Letakein GirlParticipantThats right, and I feel truly awful about the way I’ve judged you. I’m so sorry.
Do you forgive me?
Letakein GirlParticipantWow, sounds exciting. 🙂
I also can’t wait for Chanuka. I love the warm atmosphere, the closeness to Hashem, the chanuka neiros…
Chanuka is my fave Y”T.
Letakein GirlParticipantThank you for taking the time to post that, VE.
November 25, 2014 4:14 am at 4:14 am in reply to: Why you should be happy that you aren't in high school #1044359Letakein GirlParticipantWait, LFS I think you’re a lil mixed up here. The things you mentioned above are signs of being a good frum Jew, not of being yeshivish. The only one that maybe makes you yeshivish is the fact that you wanna marry a kollel guy… But I’m not sure.
