Hey, I’m sorry for getting WAY too personal with some of my posts… You’re right, personally insulting people is against the rules.
I really feel bad, and would appreciate it if you could forgive me.
This is so crazy, I keep doing the same exact thing- being completely cruel to trolls, feeling bad about it, apologizing, and then starting the cycle over again. I really gotta work on this!
Wishing you muh hatzlacha in life!
(And if you’re not trolling then i was ???? ?????? so here’s a Bracha:
May you be zoche to always have siyata dishmaya, to have the strength to do the right thing in every situation life puts you in, to always be happy, to have brachos rain down from shamayim onto you. May you be zoche to build a mikdash me’at with your true zivug, and to raise children that will give Hashem nachas.)
Letakein GirlParticipantLookingforsem,
Please do not troll. Thank you.

And your opinion is not always right. (FAINTS)
And you really shouldn’t be judging the entire BY system by your bad experience. There are far more girls going through BY and emerging as happy, succesful, and confident people than there are being kicked out or leaving on their own, disgruntled. You can’t argue against that point because you are not in the BY system right now- I am, and am therefore far more qualified to evaluate it.
No, it is not perfect. So what? Nothing other than Hashem and His cheshbonos is perfect!
I’m sorry if you had a bad experience, but it’s really unfair to write off the whole BY system cuz you couldn’t handle it.
Letakein GirlParticipantHomestly, I don’t know if you’re mature enough to do anything other than troll, thereby wasting people’s time.
Clarification: my post [;)] was meant to go after ivory’s post [very.] As in, I’m agreeing with him/ her regarding your level of maturity.
November 24, 2014 11:55 pm at 11:55 pm in reply to: Why you should be happy that you aren't in high school #1044349Letakein GirlParticipantShopping, this is not addressed to you. I understand that you’re just venting, and are not looking for a mussar shmuz. Remember: keep your head up!
Let’s have a positive attitude, people!!
Reasons to be happy you ARE in high school:
Letakein GirlParticipantVoos epes,
How about you ask your rav what he thinks of NK? I’m certain that he will educate you…
Letakein GirlParticipantLookingforsem,
I’m assuming you didn’t realize that you just said hat you think that Bnos Chava girls don’t listen to nonjewish music, and followed that statement with your assumption that they hide it (the fact that they don’t listen to nonjewish music.)
Letakein GirlParticipant😉
Letakein GirlParticipantSL,
My gosh you’re so eloquent! You said exactly what I was thinking.
Letakein GirlParticipantAnd you trust yourself with it?
There’s a chazal- ?? ????? ????? ?? ??? ????.
Translation: “don’t trust yourself till the day you die.”
Letakein GirlParticipantRandomex,
Like i said before, it’s really hard to explain why I feel nonjewish music is bad. I guess it’s for every person to decide on their own. Personally, I feel distant from Hashem after listening to it, but maybe that’s just me.
And thanks for the compliment. 🙂
Oyoyoy,
For heaven’s sake!!! I’m a teen girl. Can’t you tell from the way I post?!
Letakein GirlParticipantOyoyoy,
You’re probably right, come to think of it…
Letakein GirlParticipant😉
Letakein GirlParticipant😀
Letakein GirlParticipantI’m 99% sure that BJJ and Bnos Sarah/Chava don’t accept girls that listen to nonjewish music.
Maybe BJJ does, on second thought. I’ve heard that they focus more on intelligence than hashkafa when accepting girls. But def not Bnos S or C!
As for your point that being dressed b’tznius is more important than not listening to nonjewish music, I agree with you on that! But my question is- why not dress b’tznius AND stay away from nonjewish music?
Actually, that’s none of my business. Just something for you to think about. My point is that sems like BJJ and Bnos C or S are not looking for girls that listen to nonjewish music. They are looking for very yeshivish girls that are as sheltered and pure as possible. They want typical Bais Yaakpv girls that are considered top girls.
There is nothing wrong with you. You just wouldn’t do well in those sems, and I highly doubt that you’d get accepted, barring an absolute nes.
Letakein GirlParticipantIt’s hard to explain why nonjewish music is bad, but I’ll try.
Nonjewish music has a very powerful negative effect on one’s neshama. Think about it- one makes you happy, the next makes you sad, while another makes you angry! So if it affect your emotions, it stands to reason that it also affects your spiritual state of being. Also, for the most part, nonjewish singers are horrible people with absolutely no morals. I feel disgust at the thought of having their voices, lyrics, or melodies in my head all day!
Some are moral people, that is true, but the vast majority are decidedly not. If you start off listening only to nonjewish music that is sung by moralistic people, you’ll almost for sure end up listening to the worst garbage out there.
Your neshama is THE most valuable thing you own. Are you really willing to risk destroying it for some temporary enjoyment?!
Letakein GirlParticipantWe understand what you want. Now it’s your turn to understand what the sems want.
Sems like BJJ, Bnos Sarah/Chava are not looking for girls that left the BY system and went to college early.
There are many wonderful sems that you would really enjoy! Please be realistic… You don’t want to end up in a situation where next year comes around and you weren’t accepted to any seminary.
Letakein GirlParticipantLookingforsem,
If you listen to nonjewish music, you definitely do not belong in sems like Bnos Sarah/Chava!!! Please apply to other sems… You really have to discuss this with someone that knows you very well and knows seminaries.
Letakein GirlParticipantMy goodness, now I can add humble to the list too!
BH, my Dvar Torah went well. 🙂
But I bit my nails… I’m gong to start my no nail biting campaign again, b’ezras Hashem.
Letakein GirlParticipantLookingforsem,
First of all, there’s a TOn of info on Bnos Sara, Bnos Chava, and BJJ specifically on a thread that was bumped a few days ago… I don’t remember what it’s called though. Maybe someone else can help out with that? I remember getting the following impressions of those sems from that thread:
BJJ- extremely academic, very hard work, the Harvard of all sems. Yo hafta be really intelligent to get in there. Downside- everyone agrees that it is not a warm sem. It’s more for girls that want to teach a subject like Chumash or Navi in a high school than just a girl looking to go to sem to make friends for life and have a kesher with teachers. It’s a very big sem.
Bnos Chava- the girls are usually very jappy (into designer clothes, snobby, cliquey…) but the staff is supposed to be very nice. This sem is also very hard when it comes to academics, but it’s not as bad as BJJ. I think it’s hard to be accepted to this sem. (Also to BJJ and Bnos Sara.)
Bnos Sarah- it’s smaller, more individualized, very warm, nice girls, awesome teachers, also very hard n academics- less than BJJ but a lil more than Bnos Chava.
You’re aiming very high in only applying to these sems! I don’t know you personally, but I would assume that a girl posting on the cr and going to college (as you mentioned in a diff thread) would NOT do well in these sems!! And that’s if you get accepted…
The sems you’re looking into are for irks whose fathers are Maggidei Shiur or Rosh Yeshivas, ya know what I mean? They’re for yeshivish people…
I would recommend looking into sems like Darchei Binah or Pninim. But I could be wrong about what type you are…
Letakein GirlParticipantSo you’re saying that if it’ll lower resentment towards Jewish people, it’s okay to (quoting OURTorah here) hug deniers of the holocaust?
(Btw, I don’t agree that their actions have caused any real change in a positive direction.)
Letakein GirlParticipantI’ve been meaning to say this for a long time, but somehow never found the right time.
I have always thought of you as one of the most kind, thoughtful, eloquent, intelligent, and special people to post on the cr. You seem to always know the right thing to say, and your middos are so… Well, perfect.
All around, you’re an amazing person and so glad to have the opportunity to meet you (kinda) on the cr.
Have a good shabbos!
Letakein GirlParticipantWow, you’re amazing!!!!! Seriously, I am in awe of you.
BH, I’m not stressed over anything that major… Just midterms, a Dvar Torah that I hafta give to over a hundred people this shabbos, and an awkward shabbos ahead of me. Daven for me, k? Tefillos from an awesome person like you for sure arouses heavenly mercy, and I need lots of that this shabbos. I hate public speaking, and now I’m gonna hafta give over a five minute Dvar Torah…
Save me!!!
Letakein GirlParticipantBeautiful!
Letakein GirlParticipantI knew that sidi! For goodness sakes, I wasn’t being literal. Thanks for pointing that out, tho. 🙂
My nail biting is going great. My campaign to stop nail biting is not going all that great. In fact, I pretty much gave up on it. I need to relieve stress somehow, and if I don’t bite my nails, I yell at everyone around me and am a royal grump. Lol, I can’t deal with the withdrawal symptoms.
How’s it going for you?
Letakein GirlParticipantHey, it’s not an insult! Merely a fact.
It’s not your fault- you weren’t taught proper grammar and spelling at school, so I’m really not saying anything negative by sayin that your grammar and spelling aren’t all that great.
You don’t really believe that, do you?
If you were hurt then i sincerely apologize.
Letakein GirlParticipantOr you could just get that Chaver program- I forget what it’s called… It emails a list of all the websites you visited to a person you choose every single day. Going near a computer without any accountability program is like aiming a gun at your neshama and handing it to an Arab terrorist!
Think about your eternity being ruined because you didn’t have patience to take care of this vital issue. If you have already stumbled and are having a hard time staying away from the shmutz that is so readily available online, please go to guardyoureyes.com.
Letakein GirlParticipantNo, Joseph’s grammar and spelling are impeccable. Nothing like bp, 🙂
Letakein GirlParticipantOkay, thank you so much!
I can’t believe it’s Chanuka already! This year just flew by…
Letakein GirlParticipantOy, refuah sheleima, bp yidd…
Letakein GirlParticipantNo.
Nor do I think he’s biased.
Nor do I think they are bias.
Nor do I think THAT THEY are BIASED.
That’s three mistakes in one post, demrep! Plus, it’s a very rude and ungrateful post. If I’d be a mod, I’d block you right now. 🙂
Letakein GirlParticipantWhen’s Rosh Chodesh? Tommorow?
Letakein GirlParticipantBp, please reread the second paragraph of my post above.
Letakein GirlParticipantBTGuy posted this 2 years ago:
“The NK are evil to the enth degree!!
I say that for this reason:
If you are against a political Israel, then be so in a political/religious context.
BUT THERE IS NO EXCUSE to openly, warmly embrace the leader of a country responsible for deaths of Jewish men, women, children, and babies.
It is the same leader who supplies the munitions to so many terrorist groups, as we speak, creating the bloody headlines that break our hearts.
And what is this leaders thoughts behind his open statement to wipe Israel off the map?
nk embraces this leader??? They are Jews????? No, they are the satan playing another game to amuse itself.
Excuse me while I go throw up at the thought of giving nk even so much as a nano-speck of legitimacy!”
Letakein GirlParticipantlol
Letakein GirlParticipantBp, I don’t understand you. Don’t you know that it says in the Koran to kill all infidels? NEWSFLASH!!! We are considered infidels in their eyes!
It’s true that there are some moderates that apply that verse in a different; more humane way, but you can’t deny that there are many more that are radical and take it to mean that all Jews and Christians should be murdered- butchered in cold blood! How could you think that NK is doing the right thing in being menachem avel these radicals?
Letakein GirlParticipantBP, did you see my most recent post?
Letakein GirlParticipantBp,
Arabs are worse than animals. They aren’t going to be like, “several jewish men came to be menachem avel us? Wow I guess we were wrong about the Jews! Let’s publicize that we’ve made a mistake- Jews are awesome people! Let’s ignore the centuries of hatred toward them in our history and make peace.”
That’s absolutely ridiculous! You’re making the same mistake as the international community in assuming that Arabs are people that can be reckoned with. They’ve been raised with the ideology that they will merit paradise if they kill Jews. That ain’t gonna change! They are subhuman beasts, for heavens sake!
Letakein GirlParticipantBp yidd,
I sincerely hope that you are just trolling! If you’re not then think about this:
If you would get up right now, take a flight to israel, and go be menachem avel the family of an Arab man that committed suicide, thereby sparking anti israel sentiments, would Hashem be happy?
I sincerely hope you agree with me that the answer to the above question is an emphatic NO!
If that is the case, please read the article that Sam2 posted a link to.
To say that they are frummer than us is foolish at best.
Letakein GirlParticipantI actually do know someone on the cr. In fact, I just emailed her right now.
Letakein GirlParticipantWhereistheplace,
Read this thread. It has the info you’re looking for.
Letakein GirlParticipantWell I’m a teen, and I read every part of every jewish magazine. Besides for several boring articles, of course. I find that teen magazines are hopelessly childish, and are meant for ten year olds more than fifteen year olds.
Unless I’m unusually mature?
Letakein GirlParticipantWanttohelpandask,
Your question is a valid one. No one is saying that it isn’t! We’re just saying that the cr isn’t really the right place to ask, especially right after the terror attack. Right now, as the mod said, we should be focusing on how to improve ourselves.
Letakein GirlParticipantI love em both. 🙂
Letakein GirlParticipantI’m crying my eyes out right now. I can’t begin to imagine the agony that the family’s of the dead and injured must be feeling right now. Ad masai, Hashem? How many more heilige neshamos do you need to bring the geula?!
Thank you for your eloquent post, #.
November 18, 2014 4:13 am at 4:13 am in reply to: #Dating a guy who works a behind the counter job #1044237Letakein GirlParticipantI’m sorry if I was too harsh, #. Take it as a compliment! In general when someone gives you mussar, it shows that they think highly of you so that they think you are mature enough to take the critisism. But I do admit I was too harsh with my lashon. Oish, that seems to be happening often on the cr these days! So sorry.
Letakein GirlParticipantDaven for siyata dishmaya… It’s pretty much the only thing you can do.
November 18, 2014 4:03 am at 4:03 am in reply to: Please help- Dvar Torah for Parshas Toldos #1042467Letakein GirlParticipant#poster,
Yay!!!! I’m gonna use that Dvar Torah b’ezras Hashem. Thank you so much! One question: how do you pronounce the name of that rav? Something like Grogovsky… I don’t have your post to refer to cuz this is an edit, but whatever…
#crpalsforever!!! 😀
Thanks for that link, DY. I really appreciate your taking the time to help me out! Plus, I enjoyed reading that thread. 🙂 I wonder why wiy never responded to Aries…
