oh and also ties dont need to be so expensive and can be bought at target or h and m mens section or other cheaper places. you need eight ties to start and only one new tie a season after that and if you dont wear ties every day only start with five or six. estimated savings $200 a year or more.

    1. how many white shirts do you really need, you probably need ten at most including three for shabbos. eight slacks and three blazers.

    2. you only need to get a haircut every seven weeks.

3.you only need one shul membership.

    4. if you really cant afford many of your essentials then you should go to a gemach.

estimated savings: about thirty thousand dollars.

right I am trying to get a job it isnt so easy for me because of where I live and the economy. I have a lot of experiences to put on my resume such as high school leadership positions but ita not so easy for me to just go out and volunteer, although I have done that for a few years.

I know people who boarded in people houses in chicago. The schools can arrange it. Just call them: There is Hanna Sacks Bais Yaakov, and Bais Yaakov High School of Chicago. Based on insider knowledge, hanna sacks might be better for you.

understandably so, sheidim apparently make people who don’t wet their beds say Asher Yatzar, which in a sleep talkers case, is a bracha levatela.

maybe a kiruv school would be a good idea because they are usually known for better secular education and get a disproportionate amount of donor dollars for resources so they probably get more money for these things (otherwise not supportive parents would want their kids to stay in public school), also have lower tuition rates…

I know its true about both yeshivas accepting public school kids because chicago has a fund that allows public school kids who are shomer shabbos to transfer to jewish day schools without paying tuition. The only reason I was hesitant to go to a Jewish high school initially was the resource program. So, I spent a while looking into all the girls schools I knew of until I found one later on that worked. Since chicago has this wonderful tuition program, that means that there are people who have done it in yeshivas, and get all the assistance they need. It might be harder academically, but the religious schools, from my experience are more understanding than, say solomon schechter or CJHS (in fact many of those families are now sending to hillel torah or arie crown). No child should have to go to public school simply because they are learning disabled, the public schools might offer secular academic support, but the social scene is awful and I know people who were stuck in social skill groups in public school because the schools did not understand that the person was religious and was being teased because they were frum. Yet, these people outside of school were the life of the party among their frum friends. A Jewish child should never have to go through that.

chicago has great schools for boys, no regents, skokie yeshiva is in skokie so they have more funding for a resource room, and chicago has a huge lubavitch community all over the joint.

Meor HaTorah might not be bad either, much smaller classes, and since they are just state accredited, they aren’t as advanced as other schools. The diploma is still respected though.

Both schools have experience with students who transferred from public schools and are also, behind in Limudei Kodesh.

it will take you through life, without geography, it will be difficult in seminary.

I had issues at an internship because of difficulty adding up numbers, so if I focused on math more I could have done better.

It does apply. Trust me. Sorry if this isn’t the answer you like.

just look for yeshivos that have regents, that means you will get a normal diploma, but also have resouce rooms. I would say Meor Hatorah, Skokie Yeshiva, WITS.

spend a few hours chatting to your best friend about it, and then the regent will simply feel like a continuation of the conversation.

think of writing compared to spending hours chatting with your best friend about the essay topic. Not such a bad way to look at it.

but only because the crc has a big kashrus controversy about going to tcby. There is a kosher dunkin donuts on Devon that will allow you to get as much vanilla ice cream as you want as long as you pay for it, and then in order to burn off all the calories, you will have to walk several miles.

definitely press charges and get the child a therapist. perhaps through a subsidized place such as a federation so the child feels safer going to the therapist.

I just had to make a trip to a local gemach because of the same issue. I only found two skirts that met my length requirements given my height, but one of them is a pencil skirt that if I sit in a car, might expose part of my leg if I get out even though its duty length, the other one needs to be tailored to make three inches shorter and the waist adjusted.

    A few ideas:

    Freelancing.

Internships (even if not paid, will still provide valuable experience for your resume).

Working at a seminary office, American seminaries typically are ok to work in while in Israel because they have an office in America.

I have depression and I have accomplished a ton despite it. You can also do the same, I know its easier for me to tell you not to be anxious when I myself an anxious about the same thing, but this thread has been an eye opener that other people can assist people with depression towards more rational thinking through loving guidance. I am not saying you are not being rational, but being anxious as part of depression can lead others to perceive these threads as irrational fears.

Bottom line, the key thing you need to look for in someone is a person who will not dismiss these fears, but will rather assist you in overcoming these fears that the rest of the world who has never suffered from depression will not understand.
