in my neighborhood they have a few extra readings for women only. this way the men can stay home with the kids and the wife can go hear .
sometimes the hatzalah guys who miss it being read coz of a hatzalah call come to these extra readings too.
mewhoParticipantits kinda like the chasidim who wear knickers and knee sox.
they wont mix with the chasidim who wear regular pants.
personally, its the person who is most important. niot his clothes….providing he/she is wearing something normal.
mewhoParticipanti also thanked martin luther king for my day off in january

mewhoParticipantthey should update the ”i remember when ” column in the jewish press to one done by folks in their 50’s rather than 70’s
or….they could have both age groups
mewhoParticipanttrak, perhaps u should share it with other schools
mewhoParticipant🙂 always here
mewhoParticipanti always filled out the part about grandparents. i put in that they are holocaust survivors and we help them
mewhoParticipantI’m the youngest and I think both youngest and oldest were great in my home. We are two siblings.
So happy to be me!
mewhoParticipantmany years ago I read an article in the JP about a man in a wheelchair who said his wife hit him. I was horrified. No one should ever be abused and if someone is in an abusive relationship of any kind he/she should seek help immediately.
mewhoParticipanti have heard some schools ask what you do during the summer and also vacations.
guess they figure if you can afford a summer vacation or mid year one you can pay more tuition.
i did hear about someone once being told to eat less meat so they would nos spend so much at the butcher.
shameful comment.
mewhoParticipantshaved heads are highly in fashion nowadays for men.
mewhoParticipantonly thing i remember hearing is that if a widow marries again she cannot go to the cemetary to visit her first husband
mewhoParticipantwolf, i think leizer is playing with your head here.
leizer, if u are legit then i think u have to sort some things out in your head before u get married.
is your kallah important enough to u to marry her and know u wont be getting gifts from her family?
if the answer is ”yes” then proceed with the marriage.
if the answer is ”no” then you need to speak with her and both sets of parents.
for if u cannot live without receiving gifts from them now, imagine how u will feel as u go along in the years of marriage and other occassions arise.
think carefully and i hope u make the right decision.
mewhoParticipantits the green day holiday!!
mewhoParticipanta guy should always see the girl to her door, apartment and/or house.
make sure she enters and is safe.
mewhoParticipantherring is serious stuff. ive seen people fight over it.
mewhoParticipantyou should needlepoint the bag, not knit or crochet.
knit a scarf or sweater
crochet a hat or yamulka
needlepoint your talis and tefillin bags.
mewhoParticipantbtw i thought it was pretty chutzpadik that people complained about the old testament being the final jeopardy category the day she won, as if it were a set up.
bet they dont complain when there is a category about health and a nurse or doctor wins.
mewhoParticipantyou can also apply a shadowing makeup to make it look a little thinner
mewhoParticipantwhats the big deal over curly or straight. just make sure it is clean and neat!
mewhoParticipantshe was great but didnt win tonight.
good job gitta
mewhoParticipanti think perfume should be outlawed in certain places just like smoking.
for those who are allergic it causes severe discomfort.
wear it in your own house, not at the table next to me in the restaurant or the seat next to me on the train

mewhoParticipantthe guys in my family have davening in their ipads, bbs etc. i think its wonderful. u never know where u might be and need a siddur. it also gives u any additions which need to be said that day , such as rosh chodesh, chanukah etc.
they have megilla and other prayers as well.
mewhoParticipantjeopardy winner, mazel tov and yasher koach. you did a great job in all ways. knwing the answers , winning and most of all being a shining example for the rest of us.
my family and i enjoyed watching the show and felt very proud as i mentioned earlier.
mewhoParticipanti’m happy the final jeopardy category was not NEW testament or she would have probably not known the answer.
mewhoParticipantit was on last night
mewhoParticipanti felt proud!
mewhoParticipantbtw when writing hebrew lefties dont smudge the page like righties do.
mewhoParticipantmirror mirror on the wall, who is the kvetchiest one of all?
mewhoParticipanti would like to point out that my feet are cold
mewhoParticipantim sort of new here , just on this chat a few weeks . my name is the only one i have here.
mewhoParticipantthe same way they have loads of anti smoking commercials showing what a persons lungs etc look like from smoke, they should show what a person who texts and gets into an accident looks like.
mewhoParticipantlefties manage quite well nowadays.
as the mother of a lefty and a righty i have never seen the lefty have a hard time with doing anything b/c of him being a lefty.
only thing was having someone teach him to put on his tefillin and for lefty girls, i think you might need a lefty to teach you how to crochet.
otherwise, all is good b”h!

mewhoParticipantif they cannot afford a diamond they should be honest about it and tell the girl. if she loves the boy and has good midos she will accept his financial situation. its a whole lot better than lying about it
