Syag Lchochma- airlines catch many people doing it. I don’t think it is more prevalent among us than among the general population. Airlines keep trying to figure out how to prevent it.

DaasYochid- you’ll notice that no one will put a name on such an ad. It is not against the law, which is why there are companies that do it. It is however against airline policy, which means you can lose your points if they find out.

marbehshalom- I don’t think any airline allows it. You can give them as gifts, but not accept money for it. You can lose the rest of your points if an airline finds out that you sold points.

I find that if I brush my teeth too frequently it ruins the enamel and causes me to get more cavities. I brush whenever my teeth feel like they’re not clean. If you eat enough fruits and veggies, they get cleaned naturally.

    From Goodfellow’s G+ page

    Hello Chris,

This is the best analysis I’ve seen on what happened to MH370. I’d like this article to be searchable from google. Google hasn’t indexed it. The only way I found it was through Google+

If it were to be also published beyond Google+ , a lot more people would be able to read it.

The father can hold the baby without the presence of the mother if she so wishes. It just doesn’t make any sense for her to be forced to let him be in the delivery room with her. They can take the baby shortly after birth and let the father hold him/her.

I think the right for the father to bond with the baby is only once the baby can be without the mother… before that it’s up to the mother whether she wants to be with him. If he wants to bond with the baby before, he should make sure to be nice to the mother :).

As rebyidd23 said, I never said anywhere about putting snow in the gutter. Why would I do that? The curb is much closer. If I would have to clear the huge amount of snow for a parking spot- note, the snowplows plow the snow from the streets there- it would inevitably end up back on the sidewalk.

Chasidim work very hard to make sure that there should be no problem of chuppas niddah. It is very rare that it should be. When it is, there is no handholding by chuppah or mitzvah tantz. The holding hands is to show continuation of kinyan from chuppah to yichud room.

oomis- there is actually one field that is pretty similar regarding payment. Teenage babysitters. Few will tell you over the phone how much they charge, but if you pay them less than the going rate they will be rightfully upset. The rates keep changing, and it’s important for people hiring sitters to keep up with the current rate.

How about the most obvious lesson from the story- don’t steal or kill? If he wouldn’t have stolen the wallets, he wouldn’t have killed his wife for returning them. Also, if he would have eaten neatly he wouldn’t have any lentils on his beard to begin with. And, why does chazal not say he shouldn’t have given the wallets to his wife but kept them to himself? I’m sure there’s a reason for all this. Would be curious to hear.
