There are many great things written about those that (fast on and) say the Tefilos of Yom Kippur Katan so hold your judgements. I checked the times before and they are as follows- 1:40 , 2:30 , 3:30 , 4:30 , 5:30 , 7:30 & 8:30 The shul is located at 405 Forest ave and the left side (steps) leads up to the ladies section.

If I pass by later today (which is quite possible) I will check the times and post it.

There are a few minyanim of Yom Kippur in Satmar on Forest ave between 4th and 5th . I have noticed girls coming out of the ladies section there after minyanim, so I’m assuming that it’s for women as well.

I know many people that have changed their internet habits! Besides like R’ Wachsman said (to paraphrase) … Even if we lost the older generation already, which i think we didn’t. Let’s not lose the next generation like the Bubbys withe TVs at home etc.

I thought that was a great point!

in reply to: How many people are actually doing the Kosher things online? #876442

Maybe I wasn’t very clear in the post. I wasn’t saying that people are doing things that are wrong. When I said “Kosher” I meant Literally Kosher not just to to exclude things that are questionable or shmutz. I meant “Kosher” as in Kosher websites that people usually point out in regard to how many kosher things are online.

Says Me & The Chasidisher Gatesheader – I am with you on that, I would say 90% as well

HaLeivi- I think I explained in the 1st paragraph

MorahRach – point taken but it’s not black and white. There are many points I don’t agree with; such as Internet without a filter because there are many Commandments and basically loads of Halachos on Shabbos that we do or don’t do so we shouldn’t come to do the Aveira. One should not put a stumbling block for others and especially for oneself (talk about self-destructing). More to say but am rambling too much already.

Sam 2 – seems like statistics are that there are way more Shmutz going on online than other “Kosher” or just innocent things online.

    Zeeskite – Definitely Zees

It’s a feeling someone has and the way every person is accustomed to. Most of the tefillos in my life took place at minyanim going fast (to very fast) and i usually finish way after the minyan does. Davening should be about connecting and talking (for real) to Hashem not just Lip-Service (pun intended). There are many people that say every word with its right pronunciation and all but are they really having concentration???

Besides, would they talk that fast if they were giving a presentation or even talkin to a friend???

Definitely Optimist! “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass… it’s about learning to dance in the rain”

In the future you might want to write a smaller post in regard to your valid concern and maybe later add your whole long post. I would think it would garner a lot more attention. I completely agree with you and even saw the demise of great bochurim starting with such types of trips etc. They have admitted that it brought them down. Thank You
