I know, not sure why people think that that’s ok. It’s not just the smell that’s a problem here, there’s the stickiness and oiliness that comes with it you can see it on people lol. Now if there was a deodorant that would prevent that, well hell say goodbye to showergel and shampoo.

Taking a shower is overrated. Why shower everyday when you can get those 48 hour protection deodorants. lol

    Yea scratch those two.

Question for you is how long you want to hike, with water, in the south or north?

I think a nice simple one is Ein Gedi. There are other hike options there as well but its nice and short with a few pools and waterfalls.

Wadi Darja is awesome but very strenuous. Nachal Yehudiya is fun the water is more refreshing than Darja. It’s more like spring water than flash flood water. I remember about a year ago the canyon collapsed and it was closed so not sure about it now.

“Sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never harm me.”

That is the biggest balony, words can be so hurtful. Who taught the kids this one?

Yisrei Lev in located in Telzstone right outside Yerushalayim. The guys are pretty serious and it’s not yeshivish, the rebbeim are chareidi and are very good. Its like a Landers type place. I lived/learned in Telztone for a bit so I’ve seen the guys there.

That all depends on him, days, months, even years. I myself wasn’t so on the derech growing up. I was a very confused teenager and it took me until I was about 20 to get myself into gear. Baruch Hashem I had a wonderful relationship with my parents even though I was not doing as they wished they decided to support me all the way. There is no sitting shiva for a child who goes off the D.

Sometimes people like your son just need to feel accepted. It’s always better if he can have someone to talk to if not just be the supportive parent which sounds like you have been. Never lose hope in him.

Since there are over 2000 posts on this thread reading it all is just too much so I do not know if any of this was said.

Like all children or adults whom go off the D they are part of klal yisrael and no matter what they do they still need our love and support. We need everyone to bring this long galus to an end, we should adopt the policy leave no one behind.

    Much Hatzlocha!!!

keep davening he’s in my tefillah.

I worked on an Amercian program mentoring teens off the D in Israel. Sometimes these boys aren’t motivated and don’t want do anything. It can take a very long time for them to mature and start making life decisions. Just don’t push….yet. It’s a matter of Hashem and time. Much Hatzlocha!!

Thanks all for the encouragement and bracha.

We had searched on Amazon to find this device that plays music with a picture projection, it also has a noise activation when the baby starts to cry or makes a peep it goes on. I would recommend this to other parents it was very inexpensive.

Funny last night she actually slept for 3 hours in the crib before screaming at the top of her lungs. I just put the pacifier back in her mouth and to my amazement she went right back to sleep. I hope this is the beginning.

    Plane I love turbulence.

crazybrit, traffic in a plane might be better it all depends if its in the air or on the runway. If its traffic in the air I’m going with the plane.

I would think posting that question here will possibly get many yeses and many nos. That question should be for your rabbi not the opinionated people of YWN coffee room. Then again it kind of makes it interesting with all the responses to these types questions.

Demanding hakaras hatov seems a little odd. Who were you making the shidduch for you or them?

Ever notice on the pages in the siddur where Shema Koleinu can be found, there are always darker(dirt) marks in the middle of the binding. Ya got to take care of those oily noses.

It depends on the crowd if it’s quiet and you’ll draw attention don’t do it, it’s a sensitivity. That’s when you decide to first think about others and why you are there.
