Tens of thousands of Bnei Torah gathered in Cleveland, Lakewood, and Yerushalayim, for the Levaya of the senior Rosh Yeshiva of the United States, Hagon Rav Chaim Stein ZATZAL, the Rosh Yeshiva of Telshe Cleveland, who was Niftar on Wednesday afternoon at the age of 99.
The Levaya began on Thursday morning at 9:00AM in Telshe Cleveland, with Hespedim by his sons, Rav Binyomin Moshe Stein and Rav Shmuel Zalman, HaRav Avrohom Chaim Levine Shlita, Rosh Yeshiva Telshe Chicago, and his son-in-law Rav Menachim Levin.
The Aron was then flown to Lakewood with a private jet, where a crowd of Bnei Torah estimated to be approximately 20,000 gathered at BMG
Hespedim were given by HaRav Malkiel Kotler and HaRav Yeruchim Olshin, the Roshei Yeshiva of BMG, the Novominsker Rebbe, Rav Dovid Goldberg, Rav Yitzchok Sorotzkin, and Rav Avrohom Ausband, Rosh Yeshiva of Riverdale.
Hespedim in Eretz Yisroel were delivered by the Rosh HaYeshiva of the Mir, HaRav Nosson Tzvi Finkel, HaRav Shmuel Yaakov Borenstein, HaRav Yitzchok Zilberberg, HaRav Zalman Dov Tzvikerman, Rav Mattis Weinberg, and Reb Sheftel Weinberg (oldest grandson). The crowds then accompanied the aron towards Highway 1, where the chevra kadisha took the aron to the beis hakvaros.
The Kevura was held on Har Hamenuchos.

Does anyone know how to get audio CD’s or MP3 files containing the Hespedim for Rav Stein ZT”L?
I wish I could have gone with Rav Chaim ZT”L to the Olam HaEmes to see the Kavod HaTorah that the Gedolim of previous generations are giving to Rav Chaim ZT”L. We are bereaved Yesomim without him. Mi Yitain Temuraso.
Another maspid in Eretz Yisrael was R’Chaim walkin,mashgiach in Yeshivas Ateres Yisrael who was a Telzer talmid in the 60’s.
Why would someone wish to go to the Olam Haemes? I’m in no hurry to get there. If I deserve to see the Kavod given to R’ Chaim, I hope I won’t miss out by getting there a little late.
