While most of NYC has been brought to a standstill, Hatzolah has not slowed down. Members have been responding to emergencies in SUV’s, and most neighborhoods have their garages manned with members on standby waiting to jump into an ambulance to respond to an emergency. In Flatbush, one ambulance with a patient on board was stuck in the snow, and another ambulance was dispatched to remove the patient to the hospital – while other members were dispatched to help dislodge the ambulance.
Just a short while later an ambulance was reportedly stuck in the snow in the Queens neighborhood, and Lakewood had numerous ambulances stuck as well.
