The presidential seal fell off President Barack Obama’s lectern and clattered to the stage as he delivered a speech to a women’s conference.
“That’s all right, all of you know who I am,” the president joked to laughter from the audience when he realized what had happened.
“But I’m sure there’s somebody back there that’s really nervous right now, don’t you think?” the president added, referring to whatever staffer had hung the seal on the front of his lectern so precariously.
“They’re sweating bullets,” he said, laughing. “Where were we,” he then said, and returned to his remarks.

Maybe it’s some kind of Siman min Hashamayim. Who knows?

BTW it’s funny because Obama designed that when he was running for president (he took it to show his identity), and now he says he doesn’t need it anymore, such Gaavah

This reminds me of the story from last year when one of his teleprompters fell down. I think his staff have had up to wazoo with his tin ear and ideological stubbornness.
Why in the world does he mention how scared the person who put it together must be? WHO CARES?!?
When questioned after he said “That it really began falling off during Bush’s presidency and it was only due to my policies that it didn’t happen earlier”.
