VIDEO: Disturbance By The Kosel During Vasikin Chol HaMoed Sukkos 5771

An Israeli policeman caused a slight ruckus when he evicted a man making a bracha on his arba minim in a sukkah despite a sign stating that it was permitted. The situation was eventually resolved as the masses were allowed to use the sukkah until the chief rabbis arrived.

  1. Big deal.

    One policeman overreacted.

True, there was a sign, but there was also a police barrier in place. Obvioulsly, the police barrier supercedes the sign.

    Fine, the policeman over reacted.

Is there any purpose in posting this other than to generate more sinas chinam?

  2. Just can’t understand why everyone is running to E”Y…?? we have it much better here in NY. This would NEVER happen here.. Is this “Jewish policeman” going to be reprimanded for his stupidity? His actions (and blatent disrespect, note that he wasnt wearing any head covering) wer reprehensible… and at the end, when he saw that he was fighting a lost battle, he threw his hands up in defeat and as all of these cowards do, ran away…. SHAME ON HIM!!!!

  3. Balaboos,

It can happen in NYC. When you disobey the law or cross barricades you will either get warned or arrested. So wether in E”Y or NYC obey the law. Gut Moed
