6:00PM EST: [Also posted in YWN Catskill News section] A hot water heater ignited and spread to a bungalow in the Satmar Colony on Anawana Lake Road in Monticello on Friday afternoon.

Thanks to the quick response of the Monticello Fire Department, the fire was contained and quickly extinguished.

Catskills Hatzolah was dispatched as a precaution, but Boruch Hashem there were no injuries.
