1) Tucker’s outlook is narrow minded in my opinion. He’s looking at immigration purely based on a financial perspective and avoids looking at the whole picture.
a) First of all, one of the core values in America is “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free..”. Granted, the US government hasn’t always kept to it’s values, but it still remains one of its values.
b) Furthermore, from a financial perspective its debatable whether in the long run it helps or hinders the economy. After all, a significant portion of America’s wealthiest who strengthen the economy are either children or grandchildren of immigrants. So within a decade or two there can be significant payback with interest from immigrants.
c) The point of President Trump’s new immigration policy (to my understanding) is to enforce “legal” immigration and to deter terrorist infiltration in to America. I am unaware of the president trying to place a cap on how many immigrants maximum are allowed annually (other than from Arab countries for obvious reasons).
2) The headline to this article did not seem congruent to the video. It seemed to me that the “fear-mongering” this time was coming more from Tucker than from his liberal guest.
