WATCH: Menorah Lighting In 770 As Crowd Sings ‘Yechi’ To Tune Of Chabad’s ‘Haneiros Halalu’

  1. Is anyone still convinced that only a small non-mainstream minority of Chabad believes that the Rebbe is alive and well?

  2. The overwhelming majority of these “performers” are young bachurim. What sort of chinuch are they getting, singing praises to the chair of a man who died before they were born?
Was this on Zois Chanuka or on the nittel nacht?

  3. Just as I expected to see: Comments 2,3, and 4, prove this piece of nothing-news was no less than full-blown avak lashon hara. Leave these chasidim alone and pleeeeease think about tachlis before posting stories about yiddin. Lashon Hara is powerful bad. Hurts the tellers, those who are mekabel (ahem, commenters!) and those who were spoken about!!! Keep yourselves clean. It is very destructive. Moderators, consider apologizing, and certainly remove this asap.

  4. To Nos. 2,3 and 4

Chill out. This is no more apikorsus than 90% of the events we see through the lens of YWN photographers at the courts of more than a dozen chassidus where the Rebbe’s talmidim sing and dance for the kovod of the rebbe. These are NOT the wild-eyed moishichists who used to run up and down Eastern Parkway waving yellow banners. They are simply filled the rebbe’s message of love for all yidden.

  5. It’s the closest religion to yidishkite. What’s even more outrageous is that they believe their supreme leader is the king of the yidden.

  6. READERS ON THIS SITE WILL ONLY HAVE ONE OPINION ,
AND ONLY BECAUSE THEY NEVER EVER OPEN A TANYA AND READ WHAT THE BAAL HATANYA HAS WRITTEN ABOUT REB MENDEL HARDOKAH OBM , IN A NEICAIM HA’OVILEM
LETTER TO HIS TALMIDIM AFTER THE PASSING OF THERE TEACHER AND REBBA REB MENACHEM MENDEL OF HARDOK.
LOOK AND READ THEN YOU WILL UNDERSTAND A LITTLE
TO WHAT CHABAD BELIEVES IN THE PASSING OF A GR8 TZADIK

  7. They may be doing something outrageous, but to those who jump so quick to condemn, if only you loved the preciousness of their Neshama as much (or even almost as much) as you hate their Narishkiet’en, im pretty sure you don’t. That’s one thing you can credit Chabad for; they’re ready to go anywhere in the world and be Mekarev Rechokim out of appreciation of the idea that every Jew is a Ben Melech and has within him a Chailek Elokah Mi’maal.

  8. These days prophesy is not permitted,
To this we all have admitted,
So we wait to welcome Moshiach,
Looking for a sign so clear.
