I am appalled at the audacity of the mayor, and how foolish he is. I find these traits truly remarkable. Among my personal tefilos is the one that he somehow find himself out of politics, where he can do little harm to what democracy is left.
He met the media to tell us all how he lambasted Trump with his personal agenda, nothing to do with the citizens of NYC and clearly nothing that carries the mondate of the people who voted Trump into office to make changes.
Particularly strange was his discussion of deportation. He bragged how New York is a city if immigrants. How moronic can he get? NY was formed on the backs of immigrants who created and nurtured a new country, and the growth of a city. They became citizens, and having come from elsewhere were technically immigrants. NO ONE IS AGAINST IMMIGRATION! The problem is ILLEGAL immigration. It is not different from parking by a pump or bus stop. It is illegal, and carries consequences. Illegal immigrants drain public resources, pay no taxes, and many of them become criminals that harm citizens. Send them back! Deport them. Whoever wants to become a citizen, engage in the process. But to stay here illegally, no. Go home. Mayor – If you don’t understand that, get outta here. No respect for you.
