An Israeli flag was torched outside the Democratic National Convention, Tuesday night. A woman with some of her face concealed by a black scarf was seen burning the flag as demonstrators around her chanted, “Long live the intifada,” and a male voice could be heard shouting, “Death to the U.S. empire!”

Neturei Karta again???? (The Mashgiach)
Just remember this when you vote. The Democratic party no longer has any place for ‘real’ Jews…only the “Bernie Sanders self-hating” type
What a chilul hashem? or maybe since it’s not the neture karte it is not a chilul hashem ! !
Can someone please explain what’s the difference?
Jews, we are in major sakanah!
To #2 and #4
They most be with the republicans because they are protesting against the democrats and jews, so lets all vote for the democrats.
Cthe Democratic party is very left wing socialist now. The only way to vote is Republican. Vote Donald Trump if you care about the future.
Mayer freund, you sound like you are either high on something, or are a total idiot.
Whenever an RNC or DNC happens, there are protests by radical leftists outside. This seems to be those people, so this kind of stuff shouldn’t be a surprise. It doesn’t mean they’re Democrats — they’re probably anarchists who don’t vote. Though I’m sure some far-left Bernie supporters agree with them.
I really don’t get how burning a flag and yelling “death to the American empire” does not cross the lines of free speech to declaring oneself an enemy of the state.
This country is so lost to liberalism and the concept of freedom, that the next thing you know, they’ll roll out the red carpet for those seeking actively to destroy us.
If you are a serious and genuine supporter of the Jewish State of Israel, and you are trying to decide how to vote in the US presidential election, you should be asking yourself who is going to keep the US economically strong and guide US foreign policy wisely.
The biggest threat to the Jewish State is the growing Arab population in the West Bank, and the only way to prevent Jews from becoming a minority in the Jewish State is to create 2 states, one for Jews and one for Arabs/Muslims. The current Israeli prime minister seems to be forgetting this, or does not recognize that this is essential to the survival of the Jewish State. Many Israeli voters will soon recognize the futility of trying to settle the West Bank or absorb it into the Jewish State, and that will be the end of the Netanyahu regime. The US president, whoever she/he is, must recognize this and use US influence to assure that the Israeli government recognizes the need to create a demilitarized state for the non-Jews of the region. I think Hillary Clinton understands that, and I think the Donald does not have a clue.

Since you’re a “genuine” supporter, you must know that 2 Israeli prime ministers already offered them about 92% of the territories, make themselves a state and they refused.
The 2 state solution is up to the Israelis themselves, but the Arabs refuse to understand the meaning of the word ‘negotiation’_ which simply means, I give something and you give something, and hence a compromise.
You slipped in the word “influence”, which as any 3rd grader knows , is an ugly euphemism for ” pressure.” You’re as subtle as a sledgehammer. The J Street crowd is also a lover of Israel, hence its great concern.
Your Netanyahu “regime” is also not lost on the reader.
How about some “influence” to stop demonizing Israel, RECOGNIZE its existence, and negotiate in good faith and compromise. Israel did not touch the West Bank until the Jordanians entered the war. Do we have to go regurgitate the whole thing again?
So as a “genuine & serious” supporter, please take your crock to the West Bank regime of corruption and don’t lecture the Israelis.
Some of my best friends are Jewish, don’tcha know, and —– blah, blah.
Huju.. Arab birth rate is down down!
Commenter 11: I am a genuine supporter of the State of Israel, but without the quotation marks. Jewish opponents of a Palestinian state are no more genuine in their support of the State of Israel than me, so get off your high horse (which is not a euphemism for “camel”).
And, yes, I am aware that prior Israeli governments have offered very generous territorial concessions which have been rejected, but I do not think current and future governments should give up on a 2-state solution. It may not happen for 5 or 15 or 50 years, but a 1-state solution is no solution at all.
As for my use of the word “regime,” I did not mean anything other than the Netanyahu government, though “government” would have been a better choice of words. As for what 3rd-graders know, I left the third grade many years ago and do not remember learning that “influence” is a euphemism for “pressure”. And I am all in favor of the US government’s pressuring the Israeli government and Israeli voters to support a 2-state solution, as long as the US government also pressures the Palestinians to recognize Israel’s right to exist and to settle for a demilitarized state.
huju ;
Appreciate your explanation and can’t disagree. I envy your 3rd grade education, because at the school I attended, it was just about in the 3rd grade that one of my teachers tried to “influence” me by using “pressure” because of something I may have done. Nowadays it’s not allowed of course.
