I won’t hold my breath for this, but you ought to report every week what the chilonim do all over the country when the siren sounds every Friday afternoon announding candle lighting.
Why is that not loshon hora?
What about what lots and lots of people do in Tel Aviv on Shabbat?
Oh come on, how can you compare what the Chilonim and these Chassdim do?
The Chilonim break Shabbos, it’s between them and God. They are not offending any person personally. These Chassidim are violating bein Adam LeChaveiro. It’s like protesting at someone’s funeral. What the Chassidim are doing here is incredibly hurtful and insensitive. The Chilonim are just going about their lives, doing what they want to do. The Chassidim are trying to hurt and stick it to other people.
AND, the Chilonim don’t know any better! They don’t have Torah! How can you compare the sins of someone who doesn’t have Torah do the sins of someone who does???
To #5 Simcha: so “hurting” people (assuming they even care at all what the frum people do) is worse than chilul Shabbos?
These Jews (BTW, many non-Chassidim among them) are not trying to stick anything to anyone. They decry a gentile manner of commemorating Jewish neshamos. Sirens, wreaths, momement of silence? Not Jewish ways of honoring the deceased. So, in their neighborhood they protest this lack of respect to the Jewish dead. They don’t know any better? After 68 years of this, ignorance is not a good excuse. Do they harass the Arabs who are sitting in their coffehouses mocking and making jokes while the siren is sounded? No one even dares. And if they made a stink about it and it got to the court system, you already know how the courts would decide. The esteemed judges would probably rule that the Arabs have a right to continue sitting/smoking/joking when the siren sounds on Memorial Day. But those frum Jews??? We’ll (the medinah) show THEM who’s boss ….
# 5. I concur.
It is despicable that they behave like this. Where is the kavod shown to over 24,000 soldiers who fell and gave up their lives so these people would live in freedom? They contribute nothing to the Medina-nothing. Go back to New York. Even better if you want to live this kind of a life style go back to Europe see what happens to you there.
It’s a sham that when they approach us for Tzdaka , we look at them and tell them to fly a kite. I personally hate doing this, it’s against my nature and I was never a hateful person, but they grow on you and you become what you don’t want to become. Very difficult for me to be a Shomer mitzvoth ( part of the club) and having these negative feeling for my fellow Jew. Hard to reconcile. But I see what Europe saw in the 30’s.
Maybe this group is too extreme, however celebrating with a government that only brought misery, pain and suffering coupled with antisemitism to kllal Yisroel is a bigger shame. ?’ ????
Allan!
Unfortunately you are an extremely uninformed silly yid. You make comments to an issue that is more complex than you think you are not informed and educated enough to comment on this issue it has nothing to do with honoring 24000 soldiers it is not the soldiers there are protecting us it is there learning of torah from those that you claim made no contribution to eretz Yisrael that is truly protecting us.
Allan,I’m shocked and ashamed of you.First, the charedim were in Eretz Yisrael first and if anyone should leave it’s the not-yet-observant –the Torah warns that if we don’t follow H’s laws the land will spit us out! These anti-Zionist Haredim have a right to protest what they see as an anti-religious gov’t and it’s non-Jewish foreign style observances.Haredim contribute a great deal to Eretz Yisrael ,including assuring that there will be a Jewish majority. There are a lot of “non-productive’ leftists whose only job seems to be trying to destroy am Yisrael and Eretz Yisrael so go pick on them. I’m fed up with the constant slander of Haredim-if you want to air your sinas chinom -why do it on a haredi website? What’s your problem with people who want to live a simpler,Torah-centered lifestyle? I think it’s a privilege to help a fellow Jew, and so the Torah tells us.
pointless to air this clip.most jews think nk represent all chareidi and chasidic jews.nk is small outer fringe group of fanatics rejected by ALL gedolei yisrael.by showing this you drive a wider chasm in klal yirael when we desperately need achdus!
I guess it would be inappropriate to wish that but for the presence of some innocent young children who were dragged along by their father, some “bad thing” would have happened at this intersection. (hamayvin yavin). But as I said, such a wish is probably inappropriate.
