1. If they keep the neighborhood clean, it will be much better for them.

   No one likes slobby neighbors.

2. I highly doubt it will work out as a successful new Yiddish neighborhood, given the incompetence of the people involved…
   Just listen to their spokesman…
   It speaks volumes….

3. Why s would also hould the be happy eitherlocals be happy? They will rack up the real estate prices thereby making it impossible for them to buy houses. They will start Hatzolah, jam the streets with school buses, start building multi duplexes, create traffic hams, making it impossible to find a parking spot. If the scenerio were reversed, you would not be happy either

4. if you have any money , purchase real estate their. now’s your oppurtunity.

5. Jersey City is actually not that far from Williamsburg. Might make sense for a lot of people. Not great for kosher shopping yet, though.

6. They also need a spokesperson who can speak English correctly. Granted, it’s very easy to get flustered in front of cameras and microphones, in this case he just doesn’t have good command of the English language. That is something very important in cases like this.

   I wish them lots and lots of hatzlocha on their endeavors!

7. I don’t understand something. The real estate agent interviewed at the beginning says that properties are selling at or above asking process.

   Then some alleged “communal leader”, and we know what those are, says that they are harassing and only offering 90-150 thousand for property worth a $1 Million?

   I doubt there is any property worth $1 Million in Jersey City.

   Talk about hateful race baiting.

8. The list can go on but many communities were first Jewish then blacks came in……
   The Bronx, Crown Heights, Far Rockaway, etc……

9. I know a very fine Avreich from Beis Yisroel in Yerusholoyim who has just bought a home in Stegman Street, Jersey City. The people of the new Jewish community are warm and caring. They have the full support of his Honor the Governor of New Jersey as well as the Jewish Mayor of New Jersey, his Honor Steven Fulop.
