  1. One of the most disgusting things that I have ever seen.
Don’t like the state of Israel, but don’t show dishonor for the dead, no matter who they are or even if they weren’t Jewish.
    They were human beings.
Who is going to walk on their graves just because they didn’t agree with your philosophy or the county that you came from.
    Truly shameful.

  2. The reason that these ‘murders’ are able to walk freely in Israel is because of Hashem and the Israeli army. These ‘MURDERS ‘have no regards for the dead Jewish blood .

  3. It appears to have been a polite non-violent protest. Given that most non-hareidim see support of the medinah as a mitzvah (and indeed, many see it is a replacement for the other 613 mitzvos), it was a bit tactless. Engaging in some sort of un-zionist, very un-militaristic memorial activity would have made the point more tactfully – but under the current situation, forceful and rude probably trumps tact. The truth is that had the IDF soldiers taken up learning Torah instead of attacking the goyim (a fight the zionist leaders started, by ignoring the opinions of the gedolim of the day), they wouldn’t have been in harm’s way.

One should note that the principle threat to hareidim is from the zionists not the Arabs. The Arabs would offer a “Dhimmi” style relationship, which for non-hareidim would be intolerable, but would actually leave hareidim better off. From a hareidi perspective, the IDF is not fighting to protect the hareidim. From a hareidi perspective, the IDF is the problem, not the solution.

  4. honestly if i were a chiloni, i would think what they all think of “us” because this is case in point. this is how we act, with no acceptance or regard for anyone or anything different. Its sfira. what ever happened to veahavta lerayacha kamocha. THese people were JEWS… I am saddened to say, I also view them as “leaches” on society.. they take and take and show no respect ….

  5. This is symbolism over substance! So they dont stand like getchkas when the siren goes off. If such a big tzimis wasnt made about it, these people would go about their regular business. And lets not forget the dib press stirring things up with a photog there!

  6. Honestly is this really want the most disgusting things you have seen? Is this really not moral? This really not Jewish?

Honestly any Orthodox Jew would tell you that the secular Jew driving his car down Jaffa road is much more a disgusting scene then disobeying the silly foolish babyish law.

Do you honestly think that this is the proper way to remember the fallen soldiers?!

The Soldiers are up in heaven and are looking down at the foolishness and silliness of things that are being done in their memory.

They are probably turning over in their graves and sink we sacrificed or so before the name of God. Now that we are in heaven near God do you realize that the only thing worth doing are good deeds and acts of kindness? not standing like a statue or an idiot for some silly siren!

Yes I am proud of the few still sane people living in Israel that disregard the disrespect that is done to the fallen Jewish soldiers who definitely would not want them standing like statues in their memory.

  7. Notice the Yerushalami at 36 seconds taking a picture with his phone. I thought the haredim didn’t use regular phones only “kosher” phones without cameras. Hypocrisy runs through their veins. That is why they made this protest. They are happy to live in Israel and enjoy all the government and municipal services but contribute nothing to the State. All the government services includes the protection of the IDF who are as much shlichim of the Borei Olam as are doctors. The haredim don’t hesitate to take advantage of all the skills Israeli government hospitals offer either.

What are you talking about, do you think for a second that ben adom lechaviro is less then ben adom leMokom?

If someone drives a car on shabbos that is between him and G-d. If you disrespect someone even if it is in an arbitrary way, like standing still as they commemorate their murdered sons and daughters, while your sits comfortably in yeshivah…

No need to say anything more.

  9. They are real Jewish heroes standing up for true Jewish principles in disregarding the secular militaristic non-Jewish observance.

  10. My, my. What a surprise.

People who happen to be in Kikar Shabbos – a completely chareidi area – keep going when the siren goes off.

There is not one reason in the world for chareidim in a completely chareidi area to stop for this ridiculous siren. There is no one around to offend, except for whoever happens to be this year’s designated chiloni photographer (who, if he is filming, isn’t stopping either. But that doesn’t seem to bother anyone).

The only reason to stop for the siren is if one is in a neighborhood where people might be hurt and offended if one doesn’t do so. That has everything to do with being considerate of other people’s feelings, and nothing to do with respect for fallen soldiers – for whom the siren does and means nothing now.

    But in Kikar Shabbos? Please.
