@ready now: Why? Their rights are our rights, they’re one and the same. Decisions made about a Church will impact Shuls, and vice versa. In fact, without the vocal numbers of the religious Christian communities, many Jewish advocacy ideas would have just been ignored.

Askanim may not ask for Jewish rights in conjunction with other religion’s “rights”(they are not our rights as per Torah) even if the non’Jews also support the same clauses in secular legislation, and we must not go in with them to bargain either, as per Rabbi Moshe FeinsteinZ”L
