VIDEO: Greenfield & Goldfeder Offer Reward for Information in Fatal Midwood Hit & Run

Councilman David G. Greenfield and Assemblyman Phillip Goldfeder today announced a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the driver responsible for a fatal hit and run at Coney Island Avenue and Avenue K at about 10:15 p.m. on Thursday, January 26th. The incident occurred when the victim, 58-year-old Noah Foxman, was struck and knocked to the ground by a van, which stopped at the scene. Mr. Foxman was alert and conscious when a second vehicle, described as a light colored sedan, sped through the intersection and fatally hit him. That driver fled the scene south on Coney Island Avenue towards Avenue L and is currently being sought by the NYPD for questioning in this investigation. In addition to the $2,500 reward offered by Greenfield and Goldfeder, the NYPD is offering $2,000 for information leading to a conviction.

“This was a horrific incident made worse by the driver’s callous decision to flee the scene instead of stopping and helping Mr. Foxman. This is tragedy for the Foxman family that has been compounded by the lack of closure. We are urging anyone with information to do the right thing and call 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). If doing the right thing is not motivation enough, than perhaps the reward will motivate people,” explained Greenfield.

“Noah Foxman was a beloved husband and father who has done a tremendous amount for our community and it is now it is our turn, as elected officials, to help his grieving family during this tragic time,” said Assemblyman Goldfeder. “I urge anyone who may have any information about this horrid murder to please come forward and contact the NYPD.”
