This video was taken by Shimon Gifter in the minutes after the earthquake was felt in NYC.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg said the city received numerous calls for buildings shaking but that there are no reports of major structural damage or injuries.
He also said crews have completed visual inspections of the city’s bridges and tunnels.
The mayor is reminding New Yorkers to call 911 for emergency purposes only.
