2:07PM The FDNY has just transmitted a 3rd Alarm response in Staten Island at Slater Blvd at Olympia Blvd for a large brush fire with numerous dwellings involved. NYPD is being requested forthwith to help evacuate numerous people who are reported to be trapped at this time. (BNN/FDNY RADIO)

2:19PM The FDNY has just transmitted a 4th Alarm response. They have numerous homes burning in addition to a large area of brush. The NYPD is responding with ESU and Aviation is assisting in extinguishing the brush fire. (CW1NY Radio/BNN)

2:38PM The NYPD has called a Level 1 Mobilization in regards to this fire. They are assisting in evacuations in homes in the area. A total of four homes are fully involved. The FDNY is advising that all primary searches are negative, and the main body of the brush fire has been knocked down.

3:00PM The FDNY has placed the fire under control.
