The cesspool disaster in a bedouin village in Gaza which caused the deaths of five people (reported HERE on YW) was caused by sand theft, according to the Gaza mayor. He claims that residents stole sand from the embankment surrounding the pool in order to sell it to building contractors. Immediately following the disaster, the head of the PA Environment Authority, blamed Israel for the disaster. He claimed that Sweden and the EU had given the PA funds for creation of a modern sewage system and a pipe to carry the waste to the sea, but the IDF “threatened to shell the pipe” if construction began. The Jerusalem Post has a different take on this: From an article dated March 4,
quote
On February 9, the Shin Bet arrested Amar Azk, 37. During his interrogation, he confessed selling the pipes to Hamas and other terrorist organizations that manufactured Kassam rockets, fired almost daily at Israel. The Shin Bet said Azk’s activities began with the start of the second intifada in 2000 and were only brought to a halt by his arrest. The agency could not say how much metal Azk traded, except that it was “significant.”
The pipes that were sold to Zak were intended for the construction of a sewage system in Gaza.
The Shin Bet has been unable to determine the amount of metal that actually made its way to the terror organizations, and how much went to the sewage project.

BTW, this village is in the area from where the terrorists like to launch their Kassams…
Who will be listening or reading the TRUTH, besides those who know that Israel had no hand in the cesspool stinking affair?
Well if you ask NK, they’ll say that it’s the ZIONISTS fault.
