Thai authorities will investigate claims by suspected Sept. 11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed that he plotted attacks against an Israeli El Al plane.
The alleged plot figured among 31 acts of actual or alleged al-Qaida strikes that Mohammed confessed to planning during a closed military hearing at the Guantanamo Bay U.S. naval prison in Cuba. The Pentagon released a transcript of Mohammed’s hearing Wednesday.
The gruesome attacks range from the suicide plane hijackings of Sept. 11, 2001 to many alleged plots never carried out, including those in Thailand.
Mohammed told U.S. authorities he planned attacks on nightclubs in Thailand frequented by American and British citizens and that he was responsible for “surveying and financing” a plot to destroy an Israeli El Al airliner taking off from the Bangkok airport.
“We cannot confirm whether he was in Thailand or not during such a period, or if he was in Thailand under another name. Thailand is an open country, where anyone can come in,” Prakit told reporters.
Mohammed’s testimony did not specify a date for the alleged plots.
Also in 2003, Thai authorities denied an Israeli media report that Thai police had foiled an al-Qaida plot to attack Israeli passengers and shoot down an El Al plane at Bangkok’s international airport.

This guy sounds like one of these serial killers who, once caught, confess to EVERY unsolved murder in a 2000 mile radius so they can get even more attention. Nevertheless, skila, sreyfa, hereg and chenek are way too good for him. So is the firing squad or electric chair.
He should be sentenced to a slow, painful death using biological or chemical agents that cause grievous bodily harm over a period of months.
