Lakewood: Purim crossing guard schedule


clown1.jpgWith the streets of Lakewood and very crowded with many pedestrians and extremely heavy traffic on Purim day, extra caution is strongly advised. The following is a list of crossing guard posts and times.

Between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. crossing guards will be standing at:

Monmouth Avenue and 8th St., Clifton Avenue and 9th St., Case Road and 14th St., Tangelwood and 14th St., Forest Avenue and 6th St., Forest Avenue and 7th St., Forest Avenue and 9th St., Forest Avenue and 14th St., Princeton Avenue and 7th St., Sunset Avenue and Central Avenue, Westgate and North Central Avenue, and Martin Luther King Dr. and Pine St.

  2. This information is not accurate.

    Westgate and New Central will not have a crossing guard because there is not much foot traffic there.
    A crossing guard will be stationed at Park Avenue and Seventh Street, which is not on the list.
    That is what happens when you get your info from the Lakewood Shopper.

    because in Lakewood there are devoted people like Deputy Mayor Lichtenstein and Committeeman Menashe Miller who work on bhalf of the klal. Menashe Miller is the liaison to the police department and works together with them for the betterment of the community.

    I assume you are referring to the Lakewood Police Deparment release. I believe it was changed and the crossing guard will not be at Westgate and New Central. That is what my sources are telling me anyway.
