Ohr Somayach, Monsey has been the primary address for beginner students of secular backgrounds in North America for almost 40 years. The Yeshiva’s thousands of alumni across the globe are imbued with the values that Ohr Somayach imparts; A love of Torah, sterling character, and personal responsibility. The Rosh Hayeshiva, Rabbi Yisroel Rokowsky Shlit’a together with the Menahel Rabbi Avrohom Braun Shlit’a have educated a magnificent generation of Torah true, well integrated Jewish families.
Over the last five years, the yeshiva has been impacted by severe financial challenges. The yeshiva has continued to thrive and blossom throughout it all and now a new board, spearheaded by a core group of successful alumni, are dedicated to expanding the yeshiva’s mission and broadening its student base.
