Honoring My Father While Strengthening the Community
Michael Jacobs Torah Scholarship Fund Lecture:
Why Don’t You Understand Me?
Maximizing Communication Between Men and Women
For Married Couples and Singles
My father left this world last Adar. As the year of aveilus draws to a close, I ready myself to move forward carrying all the good that he gave me. Michael Jacobs a”h built an honorable life out of the ashes of the Holocaust, dedicating himself to family, friends and to the land and people of Israel. I hope that I am able to incorporate the essence of this man – his courage, his optimism, his love of people, his infectious smile, and his nonstop generosity – into how I live the rest of my life.
I’ve decided to honor my father’s memory by establishing a living memorial that will reflect his loving kindness, impeccable moral character and devotion to the Jewish people. The Michael Jacobs Torah Scholarship Fund will provide tuition assistance to needy yeshiva students. The fund will enable bochurim of modest means, but great potential, to grow into the future Torah leaders of our communities – ensuring that my father’s legacy of chesed will endure forever.

This is a seminar long awaited. Pretty predicitable that the audience will be 85% female, when the need is strong for both genders.
will there be a tape of this lecture?
to sayitlikeitis: I hope that you attend this seminar, and learn that communication is not only about saying whatever is on your mind but understanding that there are other possible opinioins. You have prejudged, and your assumption is biased. The need is strong for both genders, but the problem is that many peopel have pre conceived notions that affect their ability to communicate correctly.

Down in sunny Florida, the crowds at lectures are all female and us men are the expection not the rule.
Does anyone notice that one thing is missing when having a major argument with ones spouse, child or friend ? Give up ?? The one thing that’s missing is that nobody is calling the other person by their name. People love to hear their name !!! They feel good about it and it shows that even in the heat of an argument their spouse or friend respects them enough to mention their name. Try it. It works.
