The FDNY has just (10:40AM) transmitted a 2nd alarm for a large fire at 6014 New Utrecht Avenue (14th Avenue & 60th Street). FDNY is reporting that they have fire on all three floors of a private dwelling, with a furniture store on the first floor.
UPDATED 11:00AM FDNY reporting that everyone made it out safely, and the fire has been extinguished.

The furniture store is owned by a Chasidic man who is known to be a big baal tzedaka.
