A Jewish Center in Merrick Long Island, NY donated a $100,000 fire truck to the Israeli city of Sderot on Sunday.
The town, visited Friday by Mayor Bloomberg, has been shelled by Hamas with hundreds of rockets over the past six years.
An inscription on the door of the truck reads, “A gift of the Merrick Jewish Centre, Merrick, N.Y., to the people of Sderot.”
