Campers last year came from all over (Baltimore, Silver Spring, Providence, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Boston, Cleveland, Lakewood, and Philadelphia). TOP TALENT

Chaverim counselors are carefully selected top talent that exhibit exceptional middos, a whole-lot of energy, and a real understanding of how to work with kids. Furthermore, our minimum age for all counselors is going into 2nd year Beis Medresh and there are two counselors per bunk.

ENGAGING LEARNING PROGRAM

In our learning program, learning is serious, but never boring. Our expert Rebbeim teach the boys how to increase their ability to make a laining when learning Gemara and Mishnayos. Campers get to learn Halachah in hands-on workshops such as Safrus, Esrog Checking, Tvilas Kelim, and Making Tzitzis.

מדות בין אדם לחבירו doesn’t just happen in camp, we make it happen! We work very hard in camp to emphasize and convey how important it is to care for each other, making מדות בין אדם לחבירו the hallmark of our camp.

DIRECTORS

Camp Chaverim is run by Rabbi Ezra Baldinger (Silver Spring) and Rabbi Yaakov Boruch Beren (Baltimore). Rabbi Baldinger is going on his 5th year as a rebbe and Rabbi Beren (who also received a J.D./M.B.A from the George Washington University) is going on his 3rd year as a rebbe. They both recieved Semichah from the Yeshivah Gedolah Tiferes Gedaliah of Silver Spring (Rav Aaron Lopiansky and Rabbi Eliyahu Reingold) and they both received Masters in Education from the George Washington University.
