Rivka & Rafi must leave their small children in Israel for five months while they are in Antwerp for their 3-year-old son Meir’s liver transplant.
This is their story:
When our son Meir was born with a liver disease, our lives were turned upside down. It has been frightening and painful, shuffling him in and out of hospitals, seeing pain & fair on the face of this sweet & innocent child. He did nothing to deserve the suffering he has experienced in his short 3 years of life. He had a very difficult operation, and was in Shaarei Tzedek for a long time. Now he needs a liver transplant.
I am begging you, dear klal yisroel, as a mother who wants her child to live, to grow, and to have a happy and normal life. His future depends on this surgery. We must get the money we need. We must save Meir.
You can be a shaliach is saving my son’s life.

You should be blessed to never experience this kind of fear & pain, and you and your children should be healthy.
Please give what you can. Thank you.

Very special, fine and ehrliche ppl, we live near by and know them for about 10 yrs. Tamar is a teacher by day and music teacher by night. Very devoted to her students, from personal experience.
They have to travel to Antwerp for close to 5 months, leave behind rest of the children.תזכו למצוות
I have tears in my eyes look at this beautiful child and his obviously concerned and committed parents. Where are all the “organizations” and their massive budgets when Yiddish kinda are suffering like this? What else do we need orgs. like this for when our children our future are suffering. Oy vey.
Why are the Kupat Cholim not paying!?
