Yeshivaworld regrets to inform you of the Petira of Rav Moshe Meir Sandler Z”L, a long-time Rebbe in Lakewood Cheder, and a Rebbe until last week in Yeshiva Nesivos Ohr. He had been fighting for his life in the hospital since last Motzei Shsabbos after R”L suffering a massive attack. The Levaya will I”H take place this morning at 9:30 in Lakewood Cheder, and at 10:00 at Gissengers. May he be a Maylitz Yosher for his wife & eight children – and thousands of Talmidim. This is such sad news. He was a really nice person; I was quite friendly with him in our yeshiva days. I’ll miss hearing his bright, vibrant voice on those automated calls.

I don’t know this man personally but every time I hear a story like this it sends chills up my spine.

Moshe was a contemporary of mine (42) and grew up in my town Manchester U.K. His loss has shocked the whole kehilla here coming only a few years after the petira of his mother o’h after an illness r’l. His father is a respected kehilla butcher whose standards of kashrus are punctillious in the extreme.
May hashem send him and his family a nechoma bekorov and may we only have simchas in klal yisroel.
