BNN is reporting that the NYPD bias crime units are on the scene at 80 Ross Street in Williamsburg investigating a swastika found in an elevator. (This building is one of the NYC Projects buildings.) No further information is available A/T/T.
UPDATED 11:55PM: This incident was apparently captured on a surveillance tape. According to a community spokesperson, this is just the latest of several similar incidents which have occurred in the eight-building complex in the past year.
Reportedly, at about 12:30PM Thursday, an appliance delivery person was captured on surveillance tape painting a swastika in the elevator.
The company for which the driver works has ID’d him,And police are expected to make an arrest, though it is unknown when that will happen.
Police say the suspect may be connected to other similar incidents at the complex in the past few months.
