The Rabbinical Committee on Communications and telecommunications provider Bezeq agreed on the activation of separate Internet servers for the Frum public in order to block access to “Shmutz” sites. According to the agreement, Frum households will receive a separate ADSL line. The rabbinical committee will supervise the online content and allow access to only a few sites, apparently including e-mail service and Frum news sites.

This will be a developement to watch. It has the possibility to catch on in the USA if it really works satisfactorily.
Yeshivanet offers a very similar program. It allows email and access to any site you request, so long as it isn’t inappropriate.
It’s an amazing program that allows you to utilize the internet, if such is needed, without compromising the Kedusha of your home.

“Someone is making money off this but good!”
I don’t know if this is true or not, but it’s certainly a wonderful way to earn an honorable living, if indeed such a venture is profitable (I suspect it isn’t very…)!
For Bezek, Yeshivanet, and any other program that may arise for this need- they should be encouraged to continue! I use Yeshivanet, and although I don’t think the company is raking in profits from this enterprise, they sure are raking in Zechusim for keeping homes free of tumah.
