Israeli police are confirming that they have arrested a 41 year old man while he was in possession of a Sefer Torah and other Tashmishei Kedusha suspected as being stolen. Police suspect that the man is involved in dealing with stolen Sifrei Torah in Yerushalayim and central Eretz Yisroel.

I’ve heard good things about technological methods of preventing the resale of stolen Sifrai Torah. We really should implement these things, if the Gedolim permit.
