People have begun to gather in Kikar Shabbos for whats becoming a daily occurrence of heavy violence. Last evening Hafganos were held in Frum communities throughout Eretz Yisroel – including Bait Shemesh, Bait Vegan, Bnei Brak etc. Dozens of protesters have been arrested and injured. Scores of police men have been transported to hospitals from injuries inflicted on them after brutally beating helpless unarmed Frum people mercilessly.

I am not disputing the need to go protest etc. Only this phrase “injuries inflicted on them after brutally beating helpless unarmed Frum people mercilessly.” Did you see all the videos of blocks stones and lighted garbage cans being hurled at the police. What exactly are the police supposed to do? There are lots of injured police too. Criticism should be directed at the decision makers not at the police.
You got that wrong, JOLI. During my term there, I found the cops as independent contractors. They pursue and beat anyone and anything regardless of the involvement. These hafgonos only get violent, rather than limited to the behavior of the 10-11 year old kids putting burning garbage cans into Kikar Shabbos to stp traffic, only after the police come in with murder in their eyes.
Yes if the hierarchy would TELL them specifically to behave, maybe, just maybe it will help.
