3. writing letters to the MP’s in Israel is like writing to Stalin – Lehavdil – to stop harassing the Jews in the Soviet Union. It won’t work because the courts want to shove this down all of the Frum Yiddens’ throats. It needs to be stopped physically.

4. I agree that it probably won’t do anything as far as stopping the parade. However I think its important that they recieve a large scale protest at least via email from american jews. I’m not sure myself what to write. Maybe remind them what happened to Rabin & Sharon…………………

5. Whether sending emails accomplishes or not- we ought to do our Hishtadlus. The folowing is the text I used for the emails, all whose names that you supplied, took no longer than 2 minutes to copy and paste at once.

   Allowing the march to continue anywhere near innocent Jewish souls, whether they are Dati or not, is a mistake, being that visions of it will remain in and taint the hearts and minds of all who experience it.

6. I did what lou said. I copied all the e mail addresses and sent off my protest to all of them. This is what I wrote – I protest the Gay pride parade because it represents immorality and it is abhorrent to do such a thing in the holy city of Jerusalem, in the holy land of Israel.    I would like to add my voice of objection.
   The basis of objection is not that it is against the Torah. Granted many have lapses in observance. That is why we have Yom Kippur.
   Here we have a greater issue. They are not marching for their rights. They already have them. They want to impose on society that we admit to and condone their choice of lifestyle, and declare that it is acceptable.
   They have no right to trample my religious beliefs, and I will persist on disagreeing with them as is my right. They already have their rights.
   I submit that the purpose of their march is to antagonize my society and violate my personal beliefs, by forcing me to adopt their position.
   Furthermore, Israel is based on an inblend of Judaic beliefs. To whit; marriages are the domain of rabbinic courts up until now. Even if new courts are exercising an overreach of power, this was the original basis at the time of the declaration independence.
   From a religious point of view, from everything one can learn. What we can learn from the Arabs is their commitment to their beliefs. Can you imagine this parade being planned in Saudi Arabia? The mere thought of it is preposterous.

8. I just finished reading a post about the condemnation of the rabbinical edict not to rent apartments to Arabs, the main point of which is that we should be tolerant and not racist in our dealings with ‘foreigners’. Why the sudden acrimony toward a parade, which is composed of jews and is wholly jewish? Why should you discriminate any more against jews who are not ‘as jewish’ as yourself any more than you would discriminate against Arabs?

9. Here is the text i wrote. Please Please please!! You know have three letters you can copy and paste. Show your utter disgust with this parade. Make sure to send a copy to Mayor Lupolianski who is frumand is dragging his feet on this issue.
   Dear XXXX
   How can we allow such a thing in a city that is holy to three major religions and all three consider the gay lifestyle to be loathsome?? Yerushalayim is a special place that has to consider itself above the Political Correctness fray. Anything that is so contrary to what the citizens of a city believe should not be allowed. Israel has a right to defend itself from its moral enemies as much as it defends itself from her physical enemies!! Please do all that is in your power to prevent this terrible tragedy. On behalf of millions of people throughout the millennia who lived and died hoping to bask in the holiness of Yerushalayim, I beseech you to do the right thing and stop the parade. Let them show their pride anywhere else!!!

    No one would dare suggest it in the traditional Arab countries for fear of losing their heads in the pubic square. Literally.

11. Rav Avigdor Miller zt”l has said (I heard this on one of his recordings) that the reason we are being forced to give land back to the Arabs is that Israel allows gays and is supportive of them. Therefore, what is happening is because “visakie ha’aretz eschem.” The only Middle-Eastern country that allows “gays” is Israel. Thus, the more land taken away from the current Israeli government and given to Arabs means more land on which such a to’aivah is not condoned or allowed.
