El Al – Punctual airline

Captain Lior Yavor. El Al VP Operations presented last week the company’s service performance during Q2. According to Yavor Israeli national carrier El Al reached second place in a European pilots’ union Q2 survey of takeoff and landing punctuality. The survey found that 83% of El Al flights took off on time without delays. Yavor noted that El Al’s operational takeoff and landing punctuality was higher compared some US airlines who reached much lower performance.

Delta Airlines with 79.6% takeoff and landing punctuality, American Airlines 76.5%, United Airlines 73.7% and Continental 71.5%.

  1. I didn’t know EL AL was so bad. Still, it can’t be compared to the now-defunct Tower Airlines, which, from what I hear, ALWAYS seemed to find a reason to make unscheduled stops in Bangor, Maine. I was once stuck in a Tower airplane in Bangor Maine for several hours, because they couldn’t take off again in the rain. They wouldn’t let anyone leave. It was horrible.
