Manchester – Police Officers gearing up for the Yomim Tovim

Police patrols are to be stepped up as Greater Manchester’s Jewish community prepares to celebrate its most sacred period of the year.

Extra officers will be drafted in to provide a high-visibility presence throughout the city. Mounted police will also patrol some of the larger synagogues in Broughton.

Police say the heightened security is aimed at guarding the Jewish community against anti-semitic attacks.
