Not everything is always what it appears to be. The Yeshiva World spoke in length to those who are investigating this sordid and tragic affair, and they want things known.
We are all, rightfully, in an uproar over the Treif- it definitely was Treif- meat story. The growing anger is primarily directed towards the, until now highly thought of, Monsey Yid who sold it.
The Oilam is pointing a large accusatory finger at him, eager to rush and hang him like meat on a hook. Wait, please. Sometimes there’s a lot more than meets the eye; and a lot the eye can’t immediately see. What now might seem clear, doesn’t make it necessarily so. That includes even if there?s a confession (just ask the D.A. of Boulder, Colorado!).
The Rabbonim and professionals are hard at work, scrupulously working to uncover the true and complete story: how complex is all of this? How far reaching?
To get to the bottom of this: brick walls (figuratively speaking) may have to be penetrated; mouths may have to be broken into. It may take lots of time. This investigation may take some strange turns. May – they just aren’t yet sure.
(What exactly do we know about the underbelly of the kosher meat world – and about some of the people that operate in it?) While we all see a guilty person, the people at the head of the investigation are prudently holding back judgment.
In short: The Rabbonim in the know, tell us who is to blame they don’t yet know.
So exactly how did a Heimishe Yid come to be selling his friends, family, and neighbors Treife meat? – we must, must, leave our judgment sitting on the shelf; while the experts painstakingly open up all the sealed boxes.

Very well put !!!!!! I do have some questions that I would greatly appreciate if you can answer. Who are the Rabbonim that are working on this ?? Which Gedolim (either in the USA or abroad) are being consulted ? Who are the experts referred to ? are they qualified professional investigators ?

Kudos to the YW Editor for doing such a great job! Unlike other blogs where readers are posting all their nonsense, I can read the latest news without having to turn away in disgust. All the publicity other sites are receiving in the media is not worth it, there is enough of a Chillul Hashem from the story itself we don’t need to add to it.
Thanks again!
Good Shabbos
