Some 170 rockets were fired at northern Israel during the day on Shabbos, landing in Kiryat Shmona, Tzefas, Nahariya, the Tevereya area, Shlomi, and Ma’alot. During the heaviest bombardment 120-130 rockets fell within a one and a half hour period in the late afternoon between 4:00 and 5:30 PM. According to Israel Radio security sources confirmed that long-range rockets were launched and hit Israel in the Hadera area on Friday.
Fadya Juma, 60, and her daughters Samira, 33, and Sultana, 31 were killedwhen their home in the Arab-Israeli village of Arab-al-Aramshe suffered a direct rocket hit just after 4:00 PM. Members of the village located near Shlomi along the Lebanese border grieved openly, mourning the loss of the three family members.
