MK Effie Eitam, a former IDF brigadier-general, told the media on Wednesday morning that today is a painful one for the bereaved families, the IDF and the nation.

Eitam stated it is imperative that anyone putting on an IDF uniform understand that if such an occurrence is repeated in the future, everything possible will be done to bring him home – leaving no stone unturned.

Unfortunately, he added, the current reality will only serve to strengthen our enemy and encourage future attempts to abduct soldiers. The parades that we will witness in Lebanon “will be an embarrassment” he stated, pointing out that Israel must begin coming to terms with her enemies, labeling Hassan Nasrallah and Hizbullah “barbaric”, stating we must begin using the word as we must contemplate our future actions, and a justified war against a barbaric enemy.
