• The family of Gilad Shalit on Monday received a second letter from their captive son as per the promise made by PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) to former US President Jimmy Carter.
• Border police and soldiers on Shavuos used teargas and rubber bullets to restore order during a violent anti-security barrier protest at Na’alin in the Modi’in area. The protestors used horns and other instruments to disturb the Yomtov atmosphere of nearby Jewish communities.
• Iran once again warns if Israel attacks, the response will be “painful”.
