The State Fair Meadowlands, running Thursday through July 9 at Giants Stadium fairgrounds in East Rutherford, has added a kosher option to its lineup of more than 100 food vendors.
The Kosher Spot will sell packaged items including potato knishes, lox, hot dogs, beef patties, pizza and an assortment of cold-cut sandwiches in addition to popcorn, cookies, chips and ice cream.
A kosher supervisor is expected to be on the premises full time except Friday nights and Saturdays, when a restricted menu will be available.
“State Fair wanted to get glatt kosher food for a long time as the demand for kosher food has increased,” said a fair spokeswoman.
Kosher Spot is to be in the Entertainment and Food Midway, opposite the entrance to the Sky Ride.
