INN: The Railway Authority is soon to begin posting watchmen at the intersections of the train tracks and paved roads. The decision comes in the wake of this week’s deadly train accident, when a train struck a vehicle left on the train tracks.?
“Watchmen will be posted at the train intersections during all hours of activity of the Israeli Railway,” said Ofer Linchevsky, the Railway Authority director. However, Linchevsky emphasized, “the watchmen’s job is to record violations of the law, not to prevent accidents.”
