The High Court of Justice on Thursday morning, in an expanded nine-justice panel, voted 8-1 supporting the legality of the Tal Law.The court�s response to the several petitions challenging the legality of the Tal Law in essence permits members of the hareidi-religious community to continue enjoying deferments from military service to permit them to continue their Torah studies in seminaries around the country.
