This combination is great in so many forms – and I plan to present you with more of them. This is a simple one to start off with. Never turn down your nose at a mix – they come in very handy and frequently turn into something special! (They’re also great to have around for those times late at night when your daughter says “I need a cake for my friend’s birthday tomorrow!)
1 (19.8 ounce) package brownie mix
2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup peanut butter
¾ cup margarine, divided
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare brownies according to package directions. Bake and cool. Beat together powdered sugar, peanut butter and ½ cup margarine. Spread over cooled brownies. Cover and chill for at least one hour. Melt together remaining ¼ cup margarine and chocolate chips. Stir until smooth. Spread over brownies. Cool and cut into squares. Store in the refrigerator.
