These are dense and fudgy.
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
¾ cup (1-1/2 sticks) margarine
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
2 cups chopped vanilla wafers (or any other cookie of your choice), divided
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt chocolate and margarine together in microwave and stir until smooth. Stir in sugar, then eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Add flour and 1 cup of the chopped cookies. Pour batter into greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle with remaining cup chopped cookies. Bake for about ½ hour. Cool completely in pan before cutting into small squares.
