Rabbi Mordechai Dov Fine, shlita, is far more than just the Mora D’asrah of our Congregation Machzikeh Hadas.  Over his decades of dedicated service to the Jewish community, he has evolved into a beloved Rov, Posek, and guiding figure for people not only in our locality but across the country and around the world.

Machzikeh Hadas was established on September 2nd, 1924, by a group of seven young men and has held a distinguished place in Scranton, PA, ever since. In April of 1973, Rabbi Fine and his family became a cherished part of our kehillah, following their previous residences in Providence, RI, Beverly Hills, CA, and Saratoga Springs, NY. Rabbi Fine leads the Scranton Orthodox Rabbinate, playing an integral role in various vital Jewish institutions and overseeing kashrus in Scranton. During the summers, he also serves as Rov in Camp Raninu, leaving a lasting impact both locally and on a national scale. Rabbi Fine’s contributions have undeniably enriched and elevated the global Torah community.

The Rov and Rebbetzin have been there for all of us.
